Marco A. Gutierrez was born April 3rd, 1961 to parents Concepcion and Baudelio Gutierrez. He spent the majority of his life living in El Paso,Tx and Fort Worth, Tx. In his early childhood he enjoyed wrestling and baseball, creating lifelong friendships. In his adulthood he loved to travel and was an infamous music lover.
He began his career in education in the 80's, working his way up from a cook, to head custodian, to finally becoming a teacher's aid. His most recent position at Clint ISD was his most rewarding position working with special needs students. He loved being the positive light for his students, impacting each and every one of them for years to come.
Marco was known for being a comedian, always making an account to make those around him laugh. People were drawn to him for his passionate and empathetic qualities. Those who truly knew him, knew how big his heart was and often referred to him as a big teddy bear.
He is survived by his wife Lilia Licerio Gutierrez; children, Marco (Junior) Gutierrez Jr, Erica Gutierrez, Jeremiah Licerio, Joshua Licerio and Jennifer Licerio; his mother Concepcion Gutierrez, sister Norma Ramirez and 10 grandchildren.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, August 9th, 2023 from 4pm to 8pm with a Vigil Service at 6pm at Crestview Funeral Home, 1462 N Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, Texas 79936.
