Con profundo pesar y con fe en la promesa de la vida eterna, anunciamos el fallecimiento de María Elena Bárcenas, conocida cariñosamente por todos como Elena, quien entró en el amoroso abrazo de nuestro Señor el 25 de enero de 2026.

Devota Católica, Elena vivió su vida guiada por la fe, la oración y el amor al prójimo. Fue esposa, madre dedicada, abuela y bisabuela amorosa, hermana apreciada y amiga leal para muchos. Su bondad, generosidad y espíritu gentil tocaron a todos los que la conocieron. Siempre dio de su tiempo, de su corazón y de su compasión, poniendo las necesidades de los demás antes que las suyas.

Como esposa, Elena fue una compañera firme, con amor y apoyo incondicionales. Como madre, abuela y bisabuela, fue fuente de consuelo, sabiduría y amor sin límites. Su familia fue su mayor alegría, y su presencia fue una bendición que será profundamente extrañada.

Elena fue querida por todos los que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerla. Su sonrisa cálida, su naturaleza atenta y su fortaleza serena dejaron una huella imborrable. Vivió una vida de servicio, fe y humildad, reflejando el amor de Cristo en sus acciones diarias.

Le sobreviven su esposo, Jesús Manuel Bárcenas; sus hijos, Ismael Bárcenas, Juan Bárcenas y René Bárcenas; sus nietos, Isaac Bárcenas, Iván Bárcenas, Miguel Bárcenas, Luna Bárcenas, Sarah Bárcenas, Roger Bárcenas y Allison Bárcenas; su bisnieta, Saeliana Bárcenas; sus hermanos, José Martín Sánchez, María del Rosario Sánchez, Arturo Sánchez, Víctor Sánchez, Cathy Sánchez y Óscar Sánchez; así como muchos familiares y amigos que siempre llevarán su memoria en el corazón.

Los servicios funerarios se llevarán a cabo el 4 de Febrero de 2026, 5:00 p.m a 9:00 p.m. con el rosario at las 7:00 p.m. en Funeraria del Ángel Central, 3839 Montana Ave, El Paso, TX 79903.

La Misa se celebrará el 5 de febrero de 2026, a las 10:00 a.m., en la Iglesia San Martín de Porres, 1885 McNutt Rd, Sunland Park, NM 88063. El sepelio se llevará a cabo a las 11:15 a.m. en Memory Gardens of the Valley,

4900 McNutt Road, Santa Teresa, NM 88008.

Obituary

With profound sorrow and deep faith in the promise of eternal life, we announce the passing of Maria Elena Barcenas, lovingly known to all as Elena, who entered into the loving embrace of our Lord on January 25, 2026.

A devoted Catholic, Elena lived her life guided by faith, prayer, and love for others. She was a wife, a devoted mother, a grandmother and great-grandmother, a treasured sister, and a loyal friend to many. Her kindness, generosity, and gentle spirit touched everyone she met. She gave freely of her time, her heart, and her compassion, always placing the needs of others before her own.

As a wife, Elena was a steadfast partner whose love and support were unwavering. As a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she was a source of comfort, wisdom, and unconditional love. Her family was her greatest joy, and her presence was a blessing that will be deeply missed.

Elena was loved by all who knew her. Her warm smile, caring nature, and quiet strength left a lasting impression. She lived a life of service, faith, and humility, reflecting Christ’s love in her daily actions.

She is survived by her husband, Jesus Manuel Barcenas; her sons, Ismael Barcenas, Juan Barcenas, and Rene Barcenas; her grandchildren, Isaac Barcenas, Ivan Barcenas, Miguel Barcenas, Luna Barcenas, Sarah Barcenas, Roger Barcenas, and Allison Barcenas; her great-grandchild, Saeliana Barcenas; her siblings, Jose Martin Sanchez, Maria Del Rosario Sanchez, Arturo Sanchez, Victor Sanchez, Cathy Sanchez, and Oscar Sanchez; and many extended family members and friends who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.

Funeral services will take place on February 4, 2026, at Funeraria del Angel Central,

3839 Montana Ave, El Paso, TX 79903.

Visitation will be held on Februrary 04, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be February 5, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at San Martín de Porres Church,1885 McNutt Rd, Sunland Park, NM 88063.

Burial to follow at 11:15 a.m. at Memory Gardens of the Valley,

4900 McNutt Road, Santa Teresa, NM 88008.

We entrust Elena to the mercy of God and take comfort in the hope of the Resurrection.
