Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Maria Guadalupe Salazar Bayona, 67 was called to the lord on March 16, 2016. God saw her getting tired and a cure was not to be, so he wrapped his arms around her, and whispered, “come to me.” Born to Narciso and Maria Salazar in Durango, Mexico. Her strength and character was evidenced in the upbringing of her children. Survived by her husband, Elier Bayona Sr, son, Elier Bayona Jr, daughter-in-law, Cynthia Z. Bayona, daughter, Cynthia Judith Cavalier, son-in-law, Michael Paul Cavalier; her brother Jaime Salazar, and three grandchildren Kimberly Bayona, Elier Bayona III, and Omar Bayona. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 20, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Crestview Funeral Home with a Rosary beginning at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be on Monday, March 21, 2016 at 10:00 am at Santo Nino De Atocha Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
