

Maria Luisa Del Toro, beloved mother, Nana, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 2, 2014. She was born on January 15, 1923 in El Paso, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents Francisco and Cliceria Castañon, husband Francisco Del Toro Sr., sister Ester Avila, and brothers Arturo and Rafael Castañon. She is survived by her brother Angel, three daughters, Estela, Lourdes, Patricia and two sons, Frank Jr. and David; nine grandchildren, Lisa, Brian, Michael, Nick, Joey, Chris, Matthew, Louis and Loren; eight great grandchildren, Cheyane, Christian, Brian, Adam, Joseph, Cashton, Grace Marie and Emmy. She was employed at J.C. Penney (Fox Plaza) for over fifteen years. She enjoyed spending time with family, friends and co-workers. She loved to dance, make people laugh and was an avid Spurs fan. Pallbearers are Brian Schwantner, Michael, Nicholas and Joseph Isaac, Christopher and Matthew Del Toro. A special thank you to caregivers Erika Gaona and CNA Martha Diaz for their companionship and the tender loving care they provided our mother for the past three years. We’d like to thank Bienvivir All-Inclusive Senior Health Services and Dr. Vandshekari. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 pm on Friday December 5, 2014 at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina with a Vigil at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be at 9:00 am on Saturday December 6, 2014 at Santo Niño de Atocha Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
