Born on November 22, 1951 to Cristino and Victoria Morales. Married Armando Dominguez on April 7th 1973. They shared 5 kids Victoria (Deceased), Samuel (48), Elizabeth (47), Esteban (44), Cristobal (40). Christina graduated from Austin High School. Attended UTEP for Business Administration.
She was a devoted mother to her children who loved her very much! She loved spending time with them as much as she could. Christina was a very strong and hard working woman. She never said no to work. Our mother was the founder of Big Top Concessions this was her company that she built and all her children were able to help her achieve her goals. In her early life she worked with her father’s company Big Boy Concessions. She helped him run the business. After that she parted ways and began her own business. In the beginning of the business she began to work at a swap meet in Notheast El Paso. Every single weekend she was up early preparing the food for the day. She cooked up a storm from fresh Menudo and Barbados to snow cones and cotton candy. Her passion and dedication to always providing the best for her clients was a priority. She sang away every Sunday listening to her good old “Rancheritas”.
Sadly that came to an end in 2007 when the swapmeet closed its doors to hundreds of vendors. Music was one of her favorite things too. She loved to sing and dance, so much that both our parents started to put concerts and special events across town. That’s when Big Top Productions was born. After a few years of back and forth with the music and artists they decided food is where they belonged. Big Top Concessions received several recognitions in events for mom's well known dish - Gorditas.
Our mom was a hard worker and very passionate of her business, always the 1st one in and last one out. She showed each one of her kids exactly how to be successful. Mom loved family time every Thanksgiving and Christmas regardless if she had worked that weekend or not she cooked up dinner for the entire family. She loved having all her children and grandchildren together.
Soon her 1st great grand child Xavier was born in 2015. All four of her kids had already moved on and had their lives with their own families, yet Cristina was not ready to retire she continued to work and enjoy traveling. On June 11th 2019 she was hit with a unexpected death. to work events and selling her famous gorditas across Texas and New Mexico. More great great grand children came along and boy did she love spending the last of her days with all her family !!
As she watched as her children built there own legacy from the bottom up just like she did she was very proud of them and couldn’t be more happy that they started there own life’s. She was also very happy of all her grandchildren and couldn’t wait to see as her other grandchildren started there own lives but sadly she passed away she passed being proud of children and grandchildren and what they have done so far in there lives, she couldn’t wait to see what else they would do. She is survived by 3 sons,1 daughter, 14 grandchildren and 6 great grand babies, 4 sisters and 1 brother. She might be gone from earth but never from our heart.
