Maria de Jesus Muñiz Buehler of El Paso, Texas passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025 at the age of 89. Maria was a beloved wife, mother, grandma, great grandma, sister, cousin, aunt, neighbor and friend to many.
Maria was born in Zacatecas, Mexico in 1936. Maria was a very independent person and traveled a long distance from Zacatecas to Juarez, Mexico and then to El Paso, Texas. She met her husband, Lynn, during the 1960s and they were married for over 50 years. Lynn and Maria had three children who they loved very much: Manuela, Laura and Lynda.
Maria was preceded in death by her mother, Maria del Refugio Coronel, father Sabas Muñiz, siblings Angel, Chabela and Cipriana and husband, Lynn Thomas Buehler.
Maria was a strong person who loved her family and friends and would do everything she could for them. Maria will live in the hearts and minds of those who knew her and loved her throughout her life. The Buehler family is grateful for all those who surrounded Maria during her lifetime. Maria added warmth to the home by lending a helping hand and a warm meal to those around her.
As you remember Maria, keep this in mind…As you look upon a flower and admire its simplicity – remember me. Remember me in your heart, your thoughts, your memories of the times we loved, the times we cried, the times we fought, the times we laughed. For if you always think of me, I will never be gone.
Visitation for Maria will be held Monday, September 8, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Restlawn, 8817 Dyer, El Paso, Texas 79904.
On Tuesday, September 9, a funeral mass will be held at Most Holy Trinity Church, 10000 Pheasant Rd. El Paso, Texas 79924 at 12pm with a graveside service to follow at 1:30 PM at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Avenue, El Paso, Texas 79906.
