We are sad to announce the passing of Maria del Socorro Yturralde of El Paso, Texas. Socorro passed away at the age of 88 on April 3, 2023. During the last three months, while she battled courageously with illness, she was surrounded in love and was never alone. She was reminded that she was loved, that she had created beautiful memories and that she would always live in our hearts. Socorro was a kind-hearted, soft-spoken and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. Simple pleasures in life brought her joy such as her favorite Vicente Fernandez or Jose Alfredo Jimenez music, her coffee in the morning (preferably McDonalds) or striking up a conversation with people she just met. She will be missed and her memory will be honored by enjoying the simple joys of life. Socorro is survived by her 6 children, Rosa, David, Carolina, Irene, Manuel and Alfonso; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Socorro was preceded in death by her husband, Alfonso Yturralde. The family will have a service honoring Socorro at Martin Funeral Home, 128 N Resler Drive, El Paso Texas 79912 on Saturday, April 8th at 10:00 am followed by interment at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
