Martha was born on April 26th, 1939 in El Paso, TX to Alberto and Maria (Reza) Bautista. She was lovingly referred to as Marsch, Mama, Nana, and Tia Mely. She attended El Paso High School where she met and, soon after, married the love of her life and soul mate, Refugio (Cuco) Terrazas. Martha had a passion for children and devoted her life to the happiness of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her compassionate spirit and kind soul resonated with anyone lucky enough to have known her. She was the matriarch of our family and for many, she was also a loyal friend, caregiver, and confidant. Martha’s favorite past-time was cooking up large batches of the best food you’d ever tasted and inviting all her children, grandchildren, and even the neighborhood kids over for a feast of authentic Mexican food. Martha is preceded in death by her parents, Alberto and Maria Bautista, as well as several siblings. Martha is survived by her beloved husband, Refugio Terrazas, one sibling; four children: Lorraine Roper, Paul Terrazas, David Terrazas, Deborah (Steven) Quintana; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Honoring her as pallbearers are Paul Terrazas, David Terrazas, Gary Bautista, Larry Bautista, Ray Camacho, Steven Quintana, and Jared Garcia.
