Mary Lou Corona was born on September 25, 1944, in Doña Ana, New Mexico, to Roque Corona and Julia Hinojos. Those close to Mary Lou knew how she was a devoted wife, mother, homemaker, grandmother, and friend who loved organizing our family get-togethers for holidays, birthdays and special occasions. She loved spending hours tending to her beautiful roses. She was also a devoted and dedicated catechist teacher for many years at Christ the Savior Catholic Church
She will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents Roque Corona and Julia Hinojos and was also preceded in death by sisters Josefina Guzman, Yolanda Alvarez, daughter Debra G. Gallegos and husband David A. Vargas.
She is survived by her daughter Patsy Baquera, son Adam Lopez, daughter Margaret Lee Vargas and husband +Thomas Gallegos III, son David Vargas and wife Cynthia.
Grandchildren: Ronnie Baquera Jr., Steven Baquera, Rick Baquera, Eric Baquera, Adrian Baquera, Alicia Weikum, Ramon Gallegos, Justin Gimenez, Oscar Saenz, Anthony Saenz, Eddie Lopez, Basti Gonzalez, Selena Lopez, Tiffani Lopez, Adam Lopez Jr., Jaclyn Lopez, Efren Corrales, Daniela Vargas
Sister: Juanita Corona, brother: Robert Corona Sr,. and 25 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers: Ronnie Jr., Steven, Rick, Eric, Adrian, Ramon, Adam Jr., Justin, Anthony and Efren.
Visitation will be held on Monday February 6, 2023 from 5pm to 9pm with a Rosary at 7pm at Funeraria Del Angel Restlawn, 8817 Dyer St. El Paso, TX 79904. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at 10am at Funeraria Del Angel Restlawn, with committal services to follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
