A man of unwavering work ethic. Max was a dedicated employee who retired from El Paso Independent School District (EPISD). His sense of humor was a gift to those around him and his unique infectious laugh was so genuine that you could not help but join in whenever he told a joke or a funny story.
His compassion extended beyond his human family to his beloved “fur babies” Bones, Stellar, and Persephone, who will miss his gentle presence dearly.
Max was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patricia Verdugo, and his parents, Maximo Verdugo Sr., and Alicia V Verdugo.
He leaves behind a large and devoted family who will carry his memory forward his sister, Linda V Campuzano, his brother, Victor Verdugo (Terri), and his godmother, Martha C Camacho. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Francesca Campuzano-Porras (Arturo), Carlotta Campuzano-Herrera (Ray), Susan Verdugo Hernandez (Erik), Jaime Verdugo, Richard Little (Lisa), Ryan Little (Lorie), Randon Little (Evelle), Ariane Mata (Tony), Bethany Little-Moses.

Max’s life was a testament to the fact that you do not have to be loud to be heard, and you do not have to be boastful to be great. He was a man of few words but immense love, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
