Michael graduated from Eastwood High School in 1980. During his high school years, he was known for his fun-loving spirit and adventurous nature. He cherished time with his friends and was always ready to share a laugh. His sense of humor remained a defining trait throughout his life—he was a jokester at heart, always finding ways to bring joy to those around him.
Beyond his playful nature, Michael had a kind and generous soul. He was always there to lend a hand when needed, balancing his tough exterior with a deep sense of care and good intentions. His love for sports was undeniable; he was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Boston Celtics. Whether celebrating victories or lamenting losses, he never missed an opportunity to watch his teams play.
Michael’s greatest pride and joy were his children, Michael "Little Michael" Ramirez and Andrea Ramirez. Becoming a father brought new meaning to his life, and he embraced the role wholeheartedly. He continued to enjoy time with family in his later years, cherishing every moment spent together.
He is survived by his parents, Raul and Ana Maria Ramirez; his siblings Paul Ramirez, Elizabeth Cedillo (and her husband Arturo Cedillo), and Annette Baumgartner (and her husband Michael Baumgartner); as well as his beloved children, Michael and Andrea Ramirez.
A Celebration of Life will be held on March 7, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM (Rosary 1 PM) at at Hillcrest Funeral Home, located at 1060 N. Carolina Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915.
Michael’s memory will live on through the laughter he shared and the love he gave so freely. May those who knew him find comfort in remembering the joy he brought into their lives.
