With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Molly Gaytan, who entered eternal rest on February 28, 2026, at the age of 74.
Born on June 29, 1951, in Smeltertown, Texas, Molly was a woman of unwavering faith, strength, and grace. She walked her path with the Lord faithfully and carried her beliefs with conviction, never compromising her values. Her faith guided her life and shaped the love she poured into everyone around her.
Molly was the devoted wife of Gene Gaytan (deceased) and the proud and loving mother of Michael and Erik Gaytan. She welcomed her daughter-in-law, Jessica Gaytan, with warmth and support, and she found one of her greatest joys in being “Grandma” to her beloved granddaughter, Emma Sunshine Gaytan. She was the most wonderful grandmother — loving, attentive, protective, and always ready with open arms.
Molly is also survived by her five sisters and six brothers, whom she loved dearly.
She was fiercely loyal to her family and protective of those she loved. Molly carried herself with strength, determination, and elegance. She had a wonderful sense of humor that could brighten any room, and she always made time for others, no matter how busy life became. If you needed her, she was there — steady, supportive, and full of love.
Molly’s legacy is one of faith, resilience, laughter, and deep devotion to family. The love she gave so freely will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
A memorial service celebrating Molly’s life will be held on Sunday, March 22nd at 12:00 noon. It will be held at Martin Funeral Home (West), 128 North Resler Dr, El Paso, TX 79912.
