Olivia Reyes

Survived by her spouse, Martin Reyes Sr., five children Martin Reyes Jr. (Mary), Edna Castaneda (Armando), Sylvia Cortez (Ernie), Armando Reyes (Diana), Enrique Reyes; Daughter-in-law Laura; 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her five sisters and one brother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fortunato and Celia Alvarez, brother Alfredo Alvarez and son Luis Reyes.

Olivia was a loving and understanding mother with a great sense of humor. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and showered them with all her love. She was a devout Catholic who loved Our Lady of Guadalupe. Her hobbies were reading with a special talent in poetry. Over the years her collection of poems were published in a book ‘Pensamientos del Alma’ as a gift from the family that gave her pride and joy. Yellow roses were her favorite flower which our family gave her for special occasions.

A visitation for Olivia Reyes will be held Friday, August 9, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915. A funeral mass will occur Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 9:00 am at San Antonio De Padua Catholic Church, 503 Hunter Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915. A graveside service will follow at 10:30 am at Mt Carmel Cemetery, 401 S Zaragoza Rd., El Paso, Texas 79907.
