He was a U.S. Army veteran who serving during the final days of WW II and the occupation of Korea. He retired from civil service primarily at White Sands Missile Range including 35 years of civil service as an electronic technician. He continued to work at White Sands with the Pacific Sierra Research, LTV Missiles and Lockheed Martin Corporation.
He contributed to our community as a member of the Lions Club, Blessed Sacrament Holy Name Society, several PTAs, and the GI Form. He was elected Post Commander of VFW Yucca Post 8919 from 1998-99. In these organizations he held other positions including President, Secretary, Treasurer, Committee leader, the cleanup crew, the Bingo administrator and in any capacity needed.
Pablo is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years Maria Ofelia. He is survived by their children, Luz Maria and Edward as well as six grandchildren, Dr. Candice Cardon, Crystal Salas (TJ Salas), Veronica Ramos, Natalia Ramos (Francisco Cantero), Alex and Ariana Rodriguez. Their great-grandchildren Tristan and Alexis Cardon, Jordan, Jaden, Jiana and Jeremih Salas and Alijah Vasquez-Ramos.
Visitation will take place on Monday, September 3, 2018 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with a 7pm Vigil at Kaster-Maxon & Futrell Funeral Home 8817 Dyer St. El Paso, Tx 79904. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at 10:00am at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on 9025 Diana Dr. A Committal Service will follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery, West Shelter.
