Paul William Leslie Jr. “Bill”, against his will, left this earth on Monday November 2, 2015. Proceeded by father Paul William Leslie Sr, mother Erna Ward Leslie and sister Judith Englehart. He leaves behind his doting and adoring wife Penny, brother Doug Leslie (Mary Lane), sons Paul W. Leslie III (Laura) and Steven C. Leslie (Tara) and three “beautiful” grandchildren Claire Leslie - Texas A&M University, Jace Leslie - St. Thomas University, Emma Leslie - El Paso High School.
Bill was born in Mercer, Pennsylvania April 6, 1938, raised in Cleveland and reluctantly transplanted to White Sands Missile Range where he graduated from Las Cruces High School while enjoying football, basketball and acting, a skill he put to good use in Hollywood working in serial westerns and movies. He obtained his bachelor’s degree after attending NMSU and the University of Hawaii.
He built a successful advertising agency filled with partying and socializing while making new friends everywhere he went. His real passion was his family and spending time with his boys working on cars, skiing, sailing, camping and snow skiing. One of his great joys was marrying Penny. They built a life together filled with travel, time with friends, enjoying each other and having fun with their grandchildren. Above all else to Bill was his family. He lived his Scottish family motto “Grip Fast”. He loved his cool cars, golfing, shooting, skiing, painting, reading and his faithful companion Barkley. He loved life and impacted countless people through his compassion, humor and ability to connect with friends. He never met a stranger and made a positive difference in many lives. He was a true Renaissance Man and will be deeply missed. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 12:30 pm at Martin Funeral Home West Chapel. 128 N. Resler El Paso, TX. 79912. Services entrusted to Martin Funeral Home West. www.martinfuneralhomewest.com,
