Pedro Federico Zenker

Peter was born on September 17, 1950, in Mexico City. He built a life defined by curiosity, craftsmanship, entrepreneurship, and devotion to his family. Throughout his career, he worked extensively in the medical equipment industry as a technician, trainer, sales representative, and business owner. He was the founder of El Paso Medical Equipment, which he operated for over 40 years, and was known for his technical expertise, strong work ethic, and commitment to exceptional service.

Peter was deeply involved in his community and was an active member of the Baha’i Faith. He also participated in local woodworking groups and was a proud member of the Woodworkers Club of El Paso. His hobbies reflected his creativity and love of learning and included woodworking, flute making, stained glass, jewelry making, computer technology, and crafting toys and musical instruments. He volunteered and taught flute classes at the Eastside Senior Center. He was also a familiar and beloved vendor at the El Paso Farmer’s Market, where he sold his handcrafted wooden items.

Peter is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth Verdecchia and Jessica Zenker Nasseri; his grandchildren, Katelin Nasseri, Lucas Jake Nasseri, Maya Verdecchia, and Marcelo Verdecchia; his brothers, Miguel Zenker and Alejandro Zenker; the mother of his children, Susan Lynn Zenker; sons in law Michey Verdecchia and Collin Nasseri; and special friends Heleny Kosturakis Cordova, Mike Conarroe, Fred and Pauline Billingsley. Pallbearers Michey Verdecchia, Collin Nasseri, Mike Conarroe, Jaime Arguelles, Jessica Zenker Nasseri, and Sebastian Quijano.

Visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. this Friday at Martin Funeral Home East, followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Burial will take place at noon at Mount Carmel Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Woodworkers Club of El Paso, in honor of Peter’s lifelong love of craftsmanship and teaching others. 3228 Sacramento, El Paso, TX 79930.
