Richard Lee Saab

Richard Lee Saab, 74, passed away October 8, 2024. He was born November 9, 1949, in El Paso, Texas, to Albert and Nadia Saab. Richard graduated from Austin High School and The University of Texas El Paso.

Richard was an entrepreneur and businessman who had established himself in the El Paso community for over fifty years. He enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing and playing golf with his brothers, and was a caring and protective brother to his sisters.

Richard is preceded in death by his devoted father, Albert Saab. He is survived by his loving mother Nadia Saab, his sisters Sylvia Zychowski and Linda Kamas (John), brothers Edward (Diana), William (Shelley), Robert, and Andrew. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews: Brian Saab (Jessica), Lauren Saab (Nate), Gregory Zychowski (Lena Timmons), Katherine Bufford (Daniel), Jason Kamas (Heidi), Christopher Kamas (Jackie). He is also survived by his many great nieces and nephews.

The family is grateful for the diligent care and attention given to Richard by his caregivers Elizabeth Bautista, Oliva Moreno, Salvador de la Isla, and especially his long-time friend and confidant Edgar Alvarez.

A visitation for Richard will be held Friday, November 8, 2024, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, immediately followed by the funeral service at Martin Funeral Home West, 128 N. Resler Dr. A graveside service will follow at Memory Gardens of the Valley, 4900 McNutt Rd., Santa Teresa, NM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
