He was a successful business man who resided in Arlington, TX but was born and raised in El Paso. He was a graduate of Austin High School in 1978 and graduated with a business degree from McMurry University in 1982.
Richard played college football, loved to golf, and have a beer with family and friends. He had a tremendous gift for making people laugh and making them feel welcome in his home. He adored all his nephews and nieces as they did him.
He is survived by his wife, Wendy S. Lank; mom, Alma Y. Spencer; his brothers, Joel, Rory, Darcy, and Stacy; and sisters, Deborah, Audrey, and Gloria.
