Our beloved Robert (Bobby) Dickerson, Sr, 60, was called to our Heavenly Father on August 19, 2023 surrounded by family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Socorro and Elias Lazarin, Sr., and his brother Armando Dickerson.
Bobby is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Teresa Aragon Dickerson; his son, Robert Dickerson, Jr., sister Maria Dolores (Alfredo) Cervantes, brother Elias (Mari) Lazarin, Jr. and many other loving family members including many nieces and nephews. Bobby had many friends including childhood friends and co-workers (amigos) from Tony Lama/Justin Boots where he worked for 42 years. He had two favorite cats, “sukie” & “kitten”.
Patient, loving, kind, and devoted are just some of the words that describe Bobby. He had a quiet, but steady way about him that could always calm even the most stressful situations.
Bobby loved music, especially the hard rock groups of the 70’s, 80’s & 90’s. He was a fan of the San Francisco 49ers and often took a lot of good-natured abuse from Cowboy fans. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Jesus A. Gomez, Dr. Hani Annabi, Isis Celestino and the staff at Texas Oncology. Also, thank you to the Hospitals of Providence, Sierra Campus ICU team for providing compassionate care. Pallbearers will be Robert Dickerson, Jr, Joey Dickerson, Angel Cervantes, Paul Cervantes, Abel Cervantes & Thomas Aragon. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Aragon, Jesus Aragon, Jr., Richard Palomino, Paul James Snyder, Ken Rodd, and Noel Cadena.
