Roberto B. Duran

1930 - 2025

Roberto B. Duran, age 95, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2025.

He was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, and friend who will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his loving wife, Eliza Duran, and his children: Ida Duran; Roberta Ann and (Arturo Guzman); Danny Duran; and Tina Marie and (Omar Sanchez).

Roberto was a proud grandfather to Carlos Daniel and (Liz Duran); Eric Daniel and (Angie Duran); Angel Robert Duran; Adrian and (Kara Duran); Danny Duran Jr.; Amanda Marie and (Alex Lujan); Brianna Brissa Marie Sanchez; Omar Robert and (Verenice Sanchez); and Diego Sanchez.

He also cherished his great-grandchildren: Hannah Duran, Soledad Duran, Carlos Duran Jr., Eric Duran Jr., Naythan N. Barriga (deceased), Eli G. Barriga, Joshua I. Duran, Heylie M. Duran, Angel Robert Duran Jr., Alizae Renae Duran, Ajay Ryan Duran, Synsemilla Duran, Sylas Duran, Sawyer Duran, Steel Duran, Saylor Duran, Omar Angel Sanchez, and Vicente Christian Sanchez.

Roberto's great-great-grandchild is Romeo Naythan Barriga.

He was preceded in death by his siblings: Josefina Aguilar, Adolfo Duran, Manuel Duran, Ofelia Duran, Ricardo Duran, and Mike Duran, and is survived by his siblings: Reyes Rodriguez, Isabel Rodriguez, Juan Duran, Pete Duran, and Marta Robles.

Pallbearers honoring Roberto will be Danny Duran, Carlos Duran, Eric Duran, Angel Duran, Adrian Duran, and Danny Duran Jr.

Roberto's legacy of love, strength, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A visitation for Roberto will be held Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915. A rosary will occur Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 7:00 PM, 1060 North Carolina Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915. A funeral mass will occur Friday, September 5, 2025, at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 7712 Rosedale St, El Paso, Texas 79915. A graveside service will occur Friday, September 5, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, Texas 79907.
