Cousin Chayo, 

When we reflect on this great truth, we can come to realize that those we love who have gone before us, marked with the sign of faith, have not been separated from us. They are really much closer to us because they now live fullness of God's love, a love that embraces each one of us, whether here on earth or in the heavenly kingdom. It is in this divine love that we are truly united, to God, but to each other. I will miss your hugs, your smile, your voice. Rest in peace.

You have passed through "las pearly gates de heaven" into your heavenly home.  I wonder if your "paloma angel" came and took you by the hand to lead you there.  Your passing has left a hole in our hearts as wide as the whole world. We loved you in  life.... We will continue to love you and hold the memories we have of  you in our hearts.  Sunday breakfasts and Fish Fry dinners  just won't be the same without you.

Tia Chayo, a Tia to so many! I remember hanging out at your apartment. I remember you and Tio taking me to visit Mama Mona. I remember you taking me to KMart and buying me Icee and popcorn. I remember you letting me eat all the candy I wanted. I remember so many celebrations in your home.  You were there for my entire life. It's going to be so odd not seeing you anymore. The last day I saw you I told you we were planning to move. You were sad because you wouldn't see my boys anymore.  And that made me sad. The only comfort I get from your death is knowing that you will not only see my boys grow old but watch over them and protect them.

  You'll never know how much we'll miss you!  That is the song that will always remind me of you.  You were my rock, my confidant, the wind beneath my wings and my best friend.
