Dearest Ryan, Although I did not have a tremendous amount of contact with you while you were growing up, you still held a special place in my heart. I saw in you a gentle and sensitive spirit that was unique in it's own fashion. I was struck by that quality in you, even as a child.  I had hopes for you to carry the MAC name forward into future generations in our family as you were only 1 of 2 boys in a direct line of descendants. But all in all, there is a Higher purpose, I believe. I will always hold that place  for you in my heart and never forget you my nephew. High hopes in seeing you on the other side of eternity. My sweet baby brother...I love you so much and my heart is grieving your absence. The only comfort I have right now is that you are being held in the arms of Jesus. So many of us miss you and your beautiful, generous heart. You were always so merciful and gentle, kind and funny. Your humble spirit inspires me to follow your lead in being willing to always give to others even when I don't have much to give. Every night that I look up at the night sky I will be thinking of you. Your death is not in vain sweet baby brother, it is bringing people together and reminding us all to hold onto each other tightly in love. Boy, what a better place this world would be, surrounded by more people like Ryan.  In the short years I knew him, I knew him as a very intelligent, friendly, and gentle young man.  A loss not only for friends and family, but for the rest of humanity.  My thoughts and prayers go out to the McPhetridge family.  Keep jammin' Ryan, and we'll see you on the other side.

My sweet little Ryan.  I will always remember when we where little and you came in and called me Auntie Urn.  Your smile lit up the room and that made up for every bad thing going on that day. Our dearest nephew, our third son, we love you so much.  Your purity, your honesty, your heart of gold.  You always lit up whenever you where near us, your smile, your laugh.  All of the memories we have, camping, our trips to Disneyland, Vegas.  You made us so proud, you where always such a caring and compassionate young man.  There is no time for sadness, or what if's.  You are at peace now, you are not alone Ryan, you are surrounded by nothing but love.  You and your compassion will live on forever in our hearts, son.  Rest now Ryan, we love you dearly.

I knew Ryan in high school, and we dated for a year. I still can't believe it, and it deeply saddens me. He was such a wonderful person with a heart of gold. Always wanting to help everyone. You will be deeply missed Ryan, always!!

Ryan wants to me finish what I started, so I cannot attend the service. I was foutunate enough to have hugged and told him I loved him a few weeks ago.

Ryan was such a sweetheart. He was my co worker at Pizza Hut and I would always do favors for me and helped with everything. He was and always will be my hero. He was a good guy.
