Shannon Nicole Del Rio

SHANNON NICOLE DEL RIO of El Paso, Texas, passed away at the age of 22 on Wednesday, December 24, 2014. Born on Monday, March 30,1992, Shannon was the only daughter of Javier Del Rio and Laura Robles Del Rio, sister to Isaac Del Rio and loving aunt to Nathan Del Rio whom she adored. Shannon graduated from El Dorado High School in 2010 where she was a proud member of the Aztec Marching Band. She then continued on to the University of Texas at El Paso to pursue a degree in Business Administration in which she was scheduled to graduate in December of 2015. Shannon was a kind and loving person. She enjoyed music, travelling, and loved to read; she spent memorable times with her close friends and loving boyfriend, Joshua Deal. Shannon was a genuine, loving person with an exceptional personality and contagious laugh; her bright, natural smile won the hearts of all who knew and loved her.The most meaningful things in Shannon’s life were her family and their well-being. She had a heartfelt gift for discovering the best qualities in everyone she encountered. She showed compassion to all, especially those who felt afraid or alone. She showed kindness and sympathy to everyone and, with no expectation or fear, she generously reached out to all she saw in need, making them feel loved, befriended and a welcome part of her world. Shannon loved God’s creatures, from the largest to the smallest of animals. She had an inner brightness about her that would light up a room merely by her being in it. Shannon was a wonderful daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, niece, and true friend. She was dearly loved, admired and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be Monday from 5-9 p.m. with 7 p.m. Vigil at Crestview Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Mark Catholic Church. Family Members will serve as Pallbearers. Interment will follow at Evergreen East Cemetery. Directed by CRESTVIEW FUNERAL HOME.
