Teresa was born in Brawley, California to Cipriano Diaz and Manuela Martinez on October 15, 1935. She married the one and only love of her life, Apapito P. Vasquez on March 01, 1951, in El Paso, Texas. She worked as a Kitchen Aid for the State of New Mexico with Senior Programs for 20 plus years. She was involved in many Senior Program activities and was Senior Prom Queen in 2012. Teresa loved to sing, dance and especially loved telling jokes to family, friends and even strangers. She received numerous awards through the State and Senior Programs in Anthony, New Mexico.
Teresa is preceded in death by her husband Agapito P. Vasquez of 55 years; Parents Cipriano Diaz and Manuela Martinez; three brothers Luis, Enrique and Jose Diaz; and two sisters Hermelinda Armenta and Guadalupe Diaz Garcia.
Teresa is survived by her children Agapito Vasquez Junior, Yolanda Vasquez-Nunez (Pete), Ricardo Vasquez, Rosie Colbert (Ted), Leticia Vasquez-Cerna (Tom), Elfida Vasquez (Angel), Jose Manuel Vasquez, Maria Vasquez; Sisters Elvia Diaz Vasquez, Armida Diaz and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren Felipe Vasquez, Baltazar (Rudy) Galvan, Ramiro Galvan, Lorenzo Rodriguez Junior, Eduardo Nunez and Noel Salinas.
Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandchildren Vicente, Roberto and Johnny Vasquez; Ernesto Nunez; Ricardo Vasquez Junior; Albert Marquez Junior, Samuel Colbert; Raul Galvan; Izaac Rodriguez; Eddieberto Vasquez; and Juan Salinas.
