

Beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, Tina Marie Gaston, passed away on December 16, 2013 with her family and friends by her side in El Paso, TX. She was born in Great Falls, MT to parents Mary Edith Harris (deceased) and Roland Harris Jr.( Charleston, SC).
Tina accomplished anything she set her mind to. At the young age of eighteen, she enlisted in the U.S. Army’s Air Defense Artillery Division, where she served 24 years and retired as a Msg. Sergeant. During her many travels, stateside and abroad, she always considered El Paso her adopted home.
Her civic duties included a lifetime membership of the American Legion, the Disabled American Veterans Association Chapter 187, the Shelter for Battered Women, and The Veteran’s Homeless Shelter. Her selfless acts of generosity and devotion were also shared with family and friends as well.
She is survived by her devoted husband of twenty years, David Blaney, her daughter, Tiffany Gaston, three sisters, Brenda Harris ( Davis, CA), Edythe Harris-Pendergast ( El Paso, TX), Joyce Harris ( Newport News, VA); two brothers, Ronald Harris (Delores) (Olympia, WA) and James Harris (FL).
She was loved and will be especially missed by her three nieces, Jenneifer, Mary and Elizabeth; great niece Shakedria; great nephews Ameer and Rahman, great-great nephew Elija and countless cousins and relations.
Visitation will be held at Martin Funeral Home-West on December 19, 2013 from 5pm to 9pm. A celebration of her life will be on Saturday, December 21, from 1pm to 3pm at The Temple of Praise church, Pulaski, Tennessee.
