Victor Diaz

Victor Diaz, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2025, at the age of 69. A lifelong resident of Sunland Park, New Mexico, Victor was known for his kind heart, generous spirit, and infectious sense of humor.

Victor was the devoted husband of Patricia Diaz, his high school sweetheart and love of his life. Together, they recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary—a milestone that reflected their deep and enduring bond.

To his grandchildren, Victor was affectionately known as Tata—a title that brought him immense joy. He treasured every moment spent with his family, always ready to share laughter, stories, and love. A proud and loyal Los Angeles Dodgers fan, Victor never missed a game and never met a stranger—his warmth and friendliness left an impression on everyone he encountered.

Professionally, Victor found great fulfillment in his final place of employment at Nine Degrees Architecture and Design, where he enjoyed both his work and the people he worked with.

Victor was preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Maria Estella Diaz, and by his sisters Bertha, Martha, and Yolanda Diaz. He is survived by his devoted wife, Patricia Diaz; his children, Victor Diaz Jr. (Audra), Anna Erica Flores (Jaime), and Rachel Elizabeth Duran (Justin); 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandson. He also leaves behind his brothers Ruben, Francisco, Armando, and Jose Diaz, and his sister Carmen Diaz.

Victor’s legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His family will forever cherish the memories they shared with him.

A public visitation will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
