

Virginia Dale Elliott (Dee), died peacefully in her sleep at home on Monday, February 4, 2013, at the age of 88 years. Her parents, Melvin and Stella Greenway, joyfully welcomed her birth on April 27, 1924 in Purcell, Oklahoma. After a lively, memorable childhood, she attended the University of Oklahoma, Norman. She then married Hugh Davis, an Air Force pilot, subsequently experiencing prestigious military life while residing in numerous cities both in the United States and in Europe. During this time, their precious son, Joel Darrell Davis was born. Later Dee and Joel moved to the southwest, anxious to reside in El Paso. Shortly thereafter, she married her life-long love, Dale Neal Elliott, relishing 43 years of togetherness. They established, owned and operated Dale’s Mobile Chalets. Following retirement, both enjoyed extensive traveling prior to Dale’s death in 2001. Preceding her in death were her parents, her brother Red, her beloved son Joel, and her loving husband Dale. She is survived by her granddaughter, Janice Joelene Bear, and great granddaughter, Emily Dawn Gatlin, of Tampa, Florida; Scott Elliott; Sarah Elliott McKinsey; Jason Elliott; Patsy Harris; one nephew; and many dear friends. Visitation will be held Friday, April 5, 2013 at 4:00 p.m., with a Celebration of Life Service at 5:00 p.m., at Harding Orr & McDaniel Funeral Home 320 Montana Avenue 79902.
