Visitation will be Friday, April 25 from 6 to 8 pm. Services will be held Saturday, April 26 at 10:00 am at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Type Cemetery.
Carolyn was born in Taylor to Gaston and Dorothy (Ritchey) Davis on December 29, 1938. She married Bobby Sanders on August 2, 1957. They were married for 41 years until his death. She later married Carl Torn on June 7, 2008.
She is preceded in death by her husbands Bobby Sanders and Carl Torn; son Kevin Charles Sanders; and brothers Lee Davis and Harvey Davis.
She is survived by daughter Nina Nygard and husband Mark of Elgin; grandsons Cody and wife Erika of Louisville, KY; Colt and fiancé Emily of Thrall; and Clint of Elgin; great grandchildren Willa, Tex, Maggie, and Georgi of Louisville, Kentucky; and sister Dolores Dooley of La Grange.
