

Sarah was born to Faye Lois Edwards Dewltty and Sylvester Green. She grew up in the Black-land neighborhood, a community rich in strong morals and family values, which deeply influenced her character and outlook on life. Known for her intelligence, beauty, and warmth, Sarah touched the lives of many with her friendly and generous spirit.
Blessed with a passionate heart, Sarah found joy in music, dancing, and cooking, often sharing these passions with those she loved most. Her home echoed with laughter, rhythm, and the comforting aroma of meals made with care, reflecting the nurturing soul she was.
Sarah was the proud and devoted mother to five cherished children: Micaela Shelby, Josiah Shelby, Amarah Green, Messiah Green, and Faye Green. Her love for her children was boundless, and she celebrated their achievements and milestones with immense pride.
In addition to her children, Sarah is survived by her brothers Kelvin Ray, Ray Owens, Londeviyon Dupree Hopkins, and Jason Lamont Burt, who remember her fondly as a pillar of strength and affection.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Faye Louis Edwards DeWitty; her grandmother, Helen Walker; and her great-grandparents, Mrs. Jimmie Higgins and Mr. James Ellison. They remain a part of her enduring legacy and the foundation of love that surrounded her.
A memorial service to honor the life of Sarah Louise Green will be held 11:00 a.m. on May 1, 2026 at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home, located at 604 State Highway 95, Elgin, Texas, 78621.
Sarah’s warmth, generosity, and vibrant spirit will long be remembered by all who knew her. Her legacy lives on through her children, family, and countless lives she touched with her kindness and strength. May her memory be eternal and bring comfort and peace to those who mourn her loss.
