

He spent his early days in Pierce, Kentucky and attended a one room school house at Vineyard before changing to Pierce Elementary. He then moved in junior high to Glasgow, Kentucky. He graduated from Glasgow High School in 1974. He attended Western Kentucky University for a degree in electrical engineering. He had three children with Lynne Kerry Pierce in the 1980’s. His career as an electrical engineer spanned over 35 years, working both locally and with international partners, and ending at EMB Corp in Elizabethtown. He married Mildred Miller on December 8, 2001. He gave his life to Christ at an early age, was a member of Heartland Free Will Baptist Church for 17 years and taught Sunday School. He spent his life singing Southern Gospel music with The Pierce Family Quartet, Victorious, and with many variations of family and friends as a fantastic bass singer and bass guitar player. He shared his talents at such venues as the Grand Ole Opry and the National Quartet Convention.
Anthony is preceded in death by his parents, Ray Junior and Verna Ruthene Wallace Pierce, maternal grandparents Vernard and Iona Chaudoin Wallace, and paternal grandparents John Ira and Betty Wood Judd Pierce.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred Pierce, siblings Gale Hall (Glenn), Fredia Poff (Anthony), and Stephen Pierce (Deanna), his three children Timothy David Pierce (Karen), Dr. Kristi Lynne Pierce, and Jeffrey Daniel Pierce (Megan), stepchildren Chadd Edward Smith (Hatice) and Dawna Michelle Benningfield (Brack), and grandsons Jaxon Ray Pierce, Tanner Edward Pierce, and Aiden Koray Edward Smith. He is also survived by aunt Lottie Pierce, aunt and uncle Bonnie and James Allen Wallace along with a host of cherished cousins, extended family, and friends.
There will be a visitation for Anthony on Sunday, January 26, 2025 from 2pm – 6pm at Brown Funeral Home, 306 College Street, Elizabethtown KY 42701. Service will be held on Monday, January 27, 2025 at 1pm with visiting starting at 9am. Burial is to follow at Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
