He was a native of Pineville, KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Franklin and Lallia Robbins Mills and a brother, Jerry Mills.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Nancy Sanders Mills of Elizabethtown; 2 step sons, Branden Slaughter and Bruce Whitmer, both of Louisville; 3 grandchildren, Regina Bratton, Jeremy Whitmer and Jaclyn Whitmer and a great granddaughter, Zoey Meoni.
A memorial service will be held at 1 pm Saturday, October 29, at Brown Funeral Home.
Visitation will begin at 10 am Saturday at the funeral home.
