

She was the daughter of the late Ishmael and Margaret Metcalfe.
Carol is survived by her husband of 61 years, Larry Jaggers; her children, Lee Jaggers-Filyaw (Richard), Larry Jaggers II (Betty), Lory Jaggers-Sisk (Fred) and Loren Jaggers; grandchildren Melissa, Jameson, Zach (Jade), Logan, Riley and Samuel; great-grandchildren Isaiah, Tori and Marissa; one sister Marti Kildren (Marty); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Carol was a homemaker and retired instructional assistant in Hardin County Schools where she worked at The Baptist Youth Ranch, G.C. Burkhead Elementary, and at the Glen Dale Children’s Home.
Carol was very active with the community. She was a 4-H leader for many years and was heavily involved in Vacation Bible School. She became active with Hardin County Farm Bureau in the 1970s and was very involved with the Women’s Committee. She was also an active member of the Elizabethtown Jr. Woman’s Club and was instrumental in starting a new Homemaker’s Club exclusively for young working homemakers. She received the title of Master Homemaker in the early 1980s. She was involved in the Hardin County Community Fair, where for many years she volunteered or was chairperson for many pageants at the County and State levels. She helped expand the pageants to include all members of the community and kept a close bond with former participants for many years. Carol also owned the original Back Home in Glendale and loved shopping for items to sell in her store.
Visitation will be Monday December 15 from 1:00pm-8:00pm ET and will continue Tuesday, December 16 from 10:00am-1:00pm ET at the Glendale Christian Church with the funeral at 1:00pm ET with burial in the Glendale Christian Church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to Hosparus Health of Central Kentucky or Glendale Christian Church.
