Charles Letcher Ash, a cherished resident of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, passed away on December 20, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on October 15, 1946, Charles, affectionately known as Charlie, lived a life marked by service, passion, and dedication.
Charlie was a proud graduate of East Hardin High School, Class of '64. Following his education, he served his country with honor as a member of the US Marines during the Vietnam War.
An avid hunter and fisher, Charlie also found joy in competitive archery and enjoyed bowling in his spare time. His love for the outdoors and sports was a testament to his adventurous spirit.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of over 30 years, Elizabeth "Liz" Ash; his parents, Marshall and Elizabeth Ash; his brother, Hays Ash; and his son, Tim Tutterow.
Left to cherish his memory are his siblings, Frankie (Jerry) Lawson and Joseph Ash, as well as his sister-in-law, Roxie Ash.
There will be a Memorial Gathering celebrating the life of Charlie scheduled on a later date.
