Charles "Mike" Skillman, a beloved resident of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, passed away on January 18, 2026, at the age of 78. Born on December 23, 1947, Mike was known as a devoted family man who truly loved his family.
Mike was a proud member of the Job Corps and enjoyed a long career as a delivery driver for Owens + Buds produce, a job he absolutely loved. In his early years, he earned trophies in boxing and football and had a passion for anything involving the University of Louisville. Above all, he cherished attending church and singing gospel music, having been baptized in 1967 by Rev. B.T. Bishop.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Pauline Skillman; his sister, Paula Skillman; and his brothers, Carl Skillman and David Skillman.
He is survived by his siblings, Billy Skillman, Debora Handley (Dill), Pamela Skillman, Sherrian Skillman, and Shannon Skillman, who will all cherish his memory.
A Memorial Gathering to celebrate Mike's life will be held at a later date.
