Clara Kathy Gibson

Kathy was born on September 11, 1957 in Elizabethtown, and she passed away on January 6, 2025 at the Helmwood Health Care Facility.

She was a devout Christian and a lifelong member of the First Christian Church. She liked to discuss Christ with others and led others to him.

Kathy was a 1976 graduate of East Hardin High School. Her favorite teachers were Kenny Tabb and David Pepper.

She worked diligently as an Avon sales representative for forty years and from there she was employed by the Hardin County Road Department. She enjoyed photography and square dancing.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Mark and Kathryn Gibson.

Survivors include her two brothers, Doug (Teresa) Gibson and Kent Gibson (Karen Singleton) all of Elizabethtown; two nieces, Michelle Robbins and Tonya Johnson and nephew, Todd Edlin.

The family would like to thank Dr. Garcia, Dr. Godfrey, and Dr. Gerard for their care and kindness, and the staff at Helmwood Health Care for their care.

Kathy was cremated and a celebration of life will be held Friday, January 24th, with visitation being from 12-2 PM and service beginning at 2 PM all at First Christian Church, 1811 N Miles St, Elizabethtown, KY 42701.
