He was a native of Louisville, served in the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps, and was a Hardin County EMS paramedic.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Callahan, Sr. and Mildred Edwards Callahan.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Cathy Callahan; two sons, Tim Holbrook and Doug Callahan; brother, James Patrick Callahan; two grandchildren, Todd Holbrook and Thomas Holbrook; and three great grandchildren.
Cremation was chosen by the family.
