Doug loved outdoor activities, especially canoeing and kayaking. He was a 1979 EHS graduate and former plumber for Greg Skillman Plumbing and Vance Plumbing. Doug was an avid U of L fan and loved listening to music and spending time with his granddaughter.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his nephew, Adam Ricketts.
Left to cherish his memory is Barbara Jenkins; daughter, Ashleigh Carraro (Casey); granddaughter, Cayman Carraro all from Virginia Beach, VA; sisters, Leslie Ricketts (Johnny), Laurie Sallee (Mike); and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly.
Visitation for Doug will be on Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 10am – 12pm at Brown Funeral Home, 306 College Street, Elizabethtown KY 42701. Service will be at 12pm with a burial to follow at Elizabethtown City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made out to the American Cancer Society.
