She was a native of Harlan County, a member of Life Point Church, and was a loving mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Cox Jr.; her parents, Jim and Dora Thomas Stewart; and her son, Audie Cox.
Survivors include her four daughters, Lana (Barry) Dewitt of Eastview, Leslie (Ray) Cantu of Cecilia, Stacey (Jimmy) Wells of Tennessee, and Lydia (Mark) Boone of Elizabethtown; several grandchildren, great- grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
The funeral is Sunday at 2 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Louie Williams officiating.
Burial follows in Eastview Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation begins at 12 p.m. Noon on Sunday and continues until the time of the service.
