4-9-2011.  California. Overlooking Berkeley, San Fran, the bay.. all the bridges.. and the ocean. 
We hung out at that lookout for hours. Taking photos. Dreaming. My wonderful friend Mike let us use his truck! We drove all over the bay that visit! Just the two of us!

I met Gabe through Menards as we both worked in the same department, and he was always one of the best people I’ve ever worked with. He lit up the room and would do anything for anyone, truly one of the best of us. And he had a killer mustache to top it off. I’m glad I got to know such a fun and incredible person.

Colorado hiking.

I drove G & Amber & picked them up from the airport on this trip, it was so special getting to know her & seeing how beautiful proud he was to be with her. He had told me every part of their trip from the flights to food to hikes was perfect! I thank GOD they got this experience together.

Our family is brought peace through all of this knowing he had Amber Hall & her sweet love & spirit in his life. The experiences they had traveling & enjoying simple moments is what made him the happiest. He felt LOVED.

Gabriel was the best big brother. When he was little he would get 3 of everything at the store or when someone when give him something he would ask if he could have 2 more for his brothers. It was always the 3 of them together even into adulthood. This photo was in the backyard in our old house in Shaw Creek by the creek.

Gabe was most comfortable outdoors.  His smile genuine and inviting. Who wouldn’t love to sit and chat with this guy?

No matter the setting - nature or in a warehouse - the camera was an extension of Gabe.

Gabe captured his true self perfectly. Smiling, raw, real - happy.

He adored her almost as much as she adored him. Together again.

Waterfront Wednesday 2015: …Music was always something we had in common, and I’ll never forget the way it connected us. His impact on my life was profound, and with his passing, a piece of me feels gone, too. He will be so deeply missed.

May 2015: … I’ll also never forget how he showed up for my graduation, celebrating me even though he didn’t get that chance himself—it was a testament to his kindness and the way he uplifted those he cared about

Bonnaroo 2015: … Some of my favorite memories are from our time at Bonnaroo, where his love for music, adventure, and the energy of the moment truly shined. Those memories will stay with me forever.

19th Birthday: … Through his art and the way he documented life—capturing moments both big and small—he shared his unique perspective and brought joy not only to himself but to those lucky enough to know him.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Gabe’s passing. He was a truly creative and artistic soul, always bringing unique ideas and beauty into the world. His talent, passion, and the way he saw things differently left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. I will always be grateful for the time we shared and the inspiration he brought into my life. My thoughts are with his family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time. Wishing them strength and comfort in the days ahead.

11 years ago on Sunday, I spent all Spring Break at your house & we had the best time. 
We have talked off & on over the years to check on each other and catch up on life.. 
you always knew how to bring a smile to anyone’s face.

Forever grateful for Gabe’s unwavering love and friendship for my son. I’m so thankful that they had each other. So many memories, lessons, and stages of life they shared and struggled together. I’m praying for you and all who knew and loved Gabe.

Gabe was a gift—a bright, boundless soul who left us too soon. He lived with a heart wide open, always ready to greet the world with a smile and a story. The outdoors was his sanctuary; he’d hike for hours, camera slung over his shoulder, chasing the perfect shot of a sunset or a hidden trail. Those photos were Gabe—quietly awe-inspired, eager to share the beauty he found.

Music was his heartbeat. He’d strum his guitar with a passion that filled the air, losing himself in the chords and sharing songs that spoke to his soul. Animals were his kindred spirits, too—his cats and dog weren’t just pets; they were family, and he doted on them with a tenderness that defined him. He dreamed big, planning an RV adventure across the country with his girlfriend, Amber, mapping out a life of freedom and discovery. Gabe was a brother to two younger boys and an older sister, a thread of love tying together a family spread across different homes.

He had a rare magic: no one stayed a stranger around Gabe. He’d strike up conversations with anyone, anywhere—his kindness pulling people in like sunlight. And oh, how he adored his grandmother Judy, who left us four years ago. They were two peas in a pod, and now they’re together again—sitting in heaven, loving each other, catching up on all the news with laughter and light. That’s where we picture him, guitar in hand, surrounded by love. Gabe’s trails may be quieter now, but his spirit still sings. Forever loved, forever missed.

My heart breaks for Gabe's family and friends. He was such a loving, talented  young man. He was like family. My son,Chris Esterday was like a step dad to "The Pack". Gabe was like a big brother to my granddaughter's Makenzie and Sierra. Gabe will be missed. Prayers up for Gabe's family and friends!
