She was born on November 9th, 1950, in Radcliff, Kentucky, to the late Lloyd and Dolores Pfeiffer. She retired after 49 years from Elizabethtown City Schools where she was a teacher, guidance counselor, and worked in the central office. She was known for her sweet spirit, generous heart, love of reading and spoiling her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Kenneth "Kenny" Lee Barnard; and in-laws, John Marshall Barnard and Pauline Gibbs Barnard.
She is survived by her two children, Allison Barnard Berry (Ryan) of Elizabethtown and Jonathan Ray Barnard (Olivia) of Cecilia; two precious grandchildren, Andie Berry and Nolan Barnard, who were the joy of her life; a brother, Mark Pfeiffer (Trish); numerous nieces, nephews, one great niece, one great nephew; two brothers-in-law, Larry Barnard (Janice), Glenn Barnard; two sisters-in-law, Anna Jean Chenault (Kenny) and Peggy Wyatt (Tye).
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, November 14th, 2024, at 5:00 PM at First Christian Church, 1811 N Miles Street, Elizabethtown, Kentucky, 42701. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until the time of service.
