Ivan E. Goodin

Ivan served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War while stationed in Germany. He started his own business called I.E. Goodin and retired after 40 years. He attended Saint Clare Catholic Church in Colesburg, KY.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lucille and Virgil Goodin; a brother, William “Bill” Goodin; and a sister, Goldie Gillispie.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 68 years, Katherine “Kathy” Goodin; his sons, Barry Goodin (Angie), Brent Goodin (Tanya), Bradley Goodin (Thea); a brother, Richard “Scotty” Wheeling; a cousin, Martha Martin; a granddaughter, Katie Meeusen; 5 grandsons, Miles Goodin, Stephen Goodin, Thomas Goodin, Samuel Goodin, and Cameron Goodin.

Visitation for Ivan will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at Brown Funeral Home from 3pm – 8pm. Visitation will continue on Thursday morning, September 18, 2025 from 9am – 10am at Brown Funeral Home with the Catholic Mass starting at 11am at Saint Clare Catholic Church with Father Ben Brown officiating. Internment will follow at Hardin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made out to Saint Clare Catholic Church.
