

Burton was born on January, 11, 1930, in Horse Cave, KY, to the late Ivy Clayton and Mollie Athena Estes.
He was a proud United States Army Veteran, serving in the Korean War. He retired from Boone's Cleaners after many years of service there. An avid animal lover, he enjoyed farming and fishing. He had a profound mechanical ability and could fix anything. What he took most pride in was his family that he cherished dearly.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Patty Jean Estes; brother, William “Bill” Marshall Estes; sister, Roma Estes.
He is survived by his sons, Doug Estes (Kelli), Ricky (Gina) Estes; grandchildren, Kevin Estes (Kaylee), Kristin Estes, Jonathan (Melissa) Estes; great-grandchildren, Jefferson Manning, Levi Cecil, Katie (Mason Goodin) Estes, Sean Gray, Kameron Estes, Bryce Estes, Elliott Estes; great-great-grandchildren, Tymbre and Jackson Manning; sister, Carolyn Fulkerson; and a special friend, Ruth Seaton.
The Funeral will be held on Saturday, April 12, at 11:00 A.M. at Brown Funeral Home, 306 College Street, Elizabethtown. Pastor Duray Aldridge will officiate and serving as pallbearers will be Kevin Estes, Jonathan Estes, Sean Gray, Kameron Estes, Bryce Estes, Jeff Manning, Mason Goodin. Burial to follow in Sonora Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. and again on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.
