Harold was known to be an avid UK fan and enjoyed woodworking, coon hunting, and gardening. He was a long-time member of Middle Creek Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Sarah Bird; his son, Jeff Bird; and six siblings.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 27 years, Connie Bird. He is also survived by his children, Renee Hoffman (Jack), Scott Dean (Lorie), and Kim Compton (Ronnie); grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Colin, Logan, Ryan, James, Crystal, Brandy, Crystal, Heather, Max, Shawn, Timmy, and Jackie; several great-grandchildren, including two special great-granddaughters, Ella and Emersyn Kinney.
Visitation for Harold will begin on Friday, November 28, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown, KY. The Funeral Service will begin at 2 p.m., with a burial to follow at Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Bibles of Gideon.
