

Born and raised in Rineyville, Jim was the son of the late James Arthur and Clara Logan Muse. He was preceded in death by sisters Pauline Muse Whelan and Joann Muse Harbolt, and brother Ralph Muse, and the love of his life, Pam Bouzek Muse, whom he shared 39 years of marriage with.
He leaves behind his son Troy (Debbie) Muse of Calhoun, daughter Lacey (Mark) McGuffin of Elizabethtown, grandsons, Logan (Mary) Muse of Owensboro and Landon Muse of Calhoun, brother in law Norman "Buddy" Harbolt, numerous nieces and nephews and very special friend Kay Matheney.
Jim peacefully passed away at Baptist Health Hardin after a brief health event. He was a retired Civil Service employee at Ft Knox and was active and independent until the end. A proud 1961 graduate of Rineyville High School. He dearly loved his hometown of Rineyville and often referred to it as the "Garden Spot". Sarcasm and a joke were his trademarks, along with his little smirk. Horses were his passion and where many of his friendships developed. A true WKU fan, he loved to talk about the golden days of 60's and 70's WKU basketball that he faithfully followed.
A service to celebrate Jim's life will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at 12 PM, at the Brown Funeral Home, 306 College St. Elizabethtown, KY. Friends and family are invited to the memorial visitation on Saturday, from 9 AM to 12 PM at the funeral home.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the medical staff at Baptist Health Hardin Hospital Neuro and Stroke department, as well as the Palliative care staff. We are eternally grateful for the wonderful care of our father in his time spent there.
