

She was born on May 16, 1932, in Stephensport, Breckinridge County, KY. She used to remark that she was born a "city girl" unlike her sisters that were born "on the farm." She was a 1950 graduate of Breckinridge County High School and attended Western Kentucky University until she met the love of her life, William "Bill" Fible and was married on February 9, 1951.
After her retirement from American General Insurance, she spent time traveling with her husband and was proud to share that she has visited 49 of the 50 states as well as, traveling to visit old family cemeteries. She was an avid bowler and secretary for bowling leagues.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Louis Fible; her parents, A.C. "Arba" Carman and May D. Basham; her in-laws, William and Nannie Pearl Bruner Fible; and her brother-in-laws, Bob Dowell and Joe Hobbs.
She is survived by her constant companion, Little Black Cat; her daughter and son-in-law, Kyle and Mike Epperson of Lexington; two grandchildren, Matt Epperson of Lexington and Colin (Shannon Tuggle) Epperson of Harrodsburg; two sisters, Yolanda Hobbs of Flaherty and Darlene Hostetter of Dade City, FL; sister-in-law, Dorothy Dowell of Valley Station; brother-in-law, Joey (Darla) Fible of Rineyville; numerous nieces, nephews and their children; a host of other family and friends.
A Graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday at Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 11 to 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home.
