He was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas and retired from the U.S. Army. John was a member of the Prince Hall Free & Accepted Masons Lodge #12, was a ham radio enthusiast and an avid reader.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Edith Penny Morrison; two brothers, Leo and Daniel Morrison.
He is survived by his wife, Pauline Morrison of Elizabethtown; a son, George Wayne Morrison of Milwaukee, WI; and a host of nieces and nephews who cherished his life.
A Memorial Service will be 12 p.m. Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11-12 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff.
