

He was born on May 23, 1985 in Fort McClellan, Alabama to Todd and Gay Cochran.
Early in life, Joshua enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping with his family. He was a devout Christian who was more than willing to share the Gospel. He attended River of Life Church in Hodgenville.
He was a 2003 graduate of John Hardin High School. During high school, Joshua enjoyed cross-country and track, soccer, wrestling, and swimming.
After graduation, Joshua attended the US Merchant Marine Academy, a four-year federal service academy which trains officers for civilian ships. During his service, he worked at Edison Chouest Offshore as a ship’s officer and ship navigator. Joshua worked on ships that delivered equipment and supplies to all continents, except Antarctica, and worked on ships that were involved in special operations within Southeast Asia. He was a Lieutenant in the US Navy Reserves.
Joshua was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Robert Gaylon White and his paternal grandparents, David Benjamin and Billie Murl Cochran.
Survivors include his Parents, Todd and Gay White Cochran of Hodgenville; his Sister, Elizabeth (Anthony) Hubbs; his Maternal Grandmother, Sue Annela White; Nephews and Nieces, Benjamin, Isaac, Charlotte, and Julianna; Uncles and Aunts, Dr. Robert Franklin (Sheila) White, Laura Schwister, Vinita (Jody) Cochran, and Dan (Amy) Cochran; and several Cousins, Rachel, Isaiah, Rebekah, Curtis, Emily, Sarah, Molly, Amber, Christina, and Kevin.
The funeral is at 12 PM Noon on Friday, June 20, 2025 at Grace Church in Elizabethtown with Pastor Danny Flowers and Pastor Monty Hershberger officiating.
Burial follows in Red Hill Cemetery in Hodgenville.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 PM on Thursday, June 19th and continue after 11 AM at Grace Church in Elizabethtown.
