Linda Powell Lucas

Linda was known to love her family dearly, she showed that by cooking many dinners throughout the years. She kept herself busy with crocheting, listening to Elvis Presley and Willie Nelson, and enjoyed hosting company. She never met a stranger! Linda especially supported and was a huge advocate for her son with special needs, Kenny. Her biggest dream was to own a log house on a farm and her husband made that possible for her. She lived a wonderful, fulfilling life.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 50+ years, Presley Ray Lucas; son, McKinley Ray “Kenny” Lucas; and brothers, Ronald Powell and James Ray Powell.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Denise Lucas; sisters, Sandra Powell Allen (John Wesley), Lana Powell Brangers Elliott; niece, Laura Masterson; nephews, Mike Allen, Wes Allen, Mickey Brangers, Luie Brangers, John Elliott, Nathan Powell; and sister-in-law, Wanda Powell Nichols.

Visitation for Linda will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025 from 10am – 12pm at Brown Funeral Home, 306 College Street, Elizabethtown, KY 42701. Funeral Service will be at 12pm with the burial to follow at Grandview Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Special Olympics of Kentucky.
