

Her faith and family were most important to her, she enjoyed reading the bible, charity work, volunteering at church and helping people. Louise was a people minded person, and was the first member of her family to graduate college and that made her very proud. She was a retired teacher with the Jefferson County School System.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Maggard; a son, Luther Wayne Maggard; her parents, Ben and Lillie Riley Fugate; two brothers, Wes Fugate and Ernest Fugate; and two sisters, Edna Muncy and Dorothy Fugate.
Survivors include her three sons, Tommy Lane Maggard (Denise), Rev. Timothy Mitchell Maggard (Marie) and Mickey Wade Maggard (Marla); one sister, Ollie Hubbard; grandchildren, Michael Maggard, Tommy Maggard, Cristy Hudson, Amanda Maggard, Tim Maggard, Cathi Desurne, Lisa Thurman, Sarah Salisbury, Debbie Dobson, Marissa Maggard, and Mason Maggard; great-grandchildren, Shelby VanMeter, Christopher Maggard, Brittney Hudson, Camden Hudson, Nolan Maggard, Caden Thomas, Cheyenne Desurne, Sadie Desurne, Emma Desurne, Iris Desurne, Charlie Desurne
Kegan McGill, Reece McGill, Maggie Thurman, Joel Dobson, Dean Dobson, Matthew Dobson, and Chloe Salisbury; great-great-grandchildren, Adi Maggard, Langston VanMeter, Baby VanMeter(due in May), Brantley Hudson, and Greyson Hudson.

The funeral will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Maggard officiating. Burial will follow in Howevalley Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and continue after 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
