

Marcella was born on December 30, 1939, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Richard L. and Catherine Gyr Huelsman. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose life was defined by deep faith, unwavering love for her family, and a joyful spirit that touched everyone she knew.
A devout Catholic, Marcella lived her faith quietly but fully, grounding her life in service, kindness, and compassion. She had a lifelong love of dancing and brought joy and laughter wherever she went. Above all else, Marcella adored babies and children, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life and a constant source of pride and happiness.
Marcella was the retired Vice – President of the A. L. Hansen Paint Metal Shop Inc.
She shared 64 loving years of marriage with her husband, James J. Brangers, Sr., building a strong and close-knit family together. She is survived by her husband and their children: Wanda (Glenn) Peace, Jeanette (Mark) Carter, James J. Brangers, Jr., Tina (David) McIntyre, and Susie (Keith) Ansert.
Marcella was a cherished grandmother to Doug (Kendra) Peace, Charles (Alexa) Carter, Katherine Hensley, Kurt Peace, Elizabeth Carter, Griffin Brangers, Amelia Ansert, Emily Brangers, Marcie Ansert, and Pete Ansert, and a beloved great-grandmother to Makayla Hensley, Aubrey Hensley, Chloe Peace, Landon Hensley, Liam Peace, and Vera Peace.
She is also survived by her siblings: Richard (Nancy) Huelsman, Paul (Mary) Huelsman, Carmel (Bob) Seifert, and Leo (Judy) Huelsman, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
Marcella’s legacy is one of love, faith, and family. Her gentle presence, warm smile, and steadfast devotion will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, February 5th, from 4 PM until 8 PM, at Brown Funeral Home. Mass will be held on Friday, February 6th, at 10 AM, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She will be laid to rest at St. John Cemetery following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Marcella’s memory to either Norton Children’s Hospital or Hosparus Health of Elizabethtown.
